Heart of the City

Addresses through a variety of programs the relational, physical, educational, and spiritual well-being of the diverse population of Columbus in the Heart of the City and to increase the community support of the Heart of the City Foundation outreach programs.

13 13 community outreach programs

•      Feeding 600 persons each week who are homeless and poor downtown

•      Providing 1200 families with holiday food and support annually

•      Offering support and community care to hose with HIV/AIDS

•      Making free legal services and clinics available monthly

•      Providing healthy recreational opportunities for college age young adults

•      Offering a multi-cultural youth development program through CampFire

•      Paying for replacement ids, birth certificates, and other pertinent documents for persons after incarceration, theft or loss

•      Offering community service and volunteer opportunities for MR/DD adults and others

•      Providing a listening ear for persons in emotional and spiritual crisis

•      Offering daily recovery opportunities for person with addictions
