The advantage of donating through a workplace giving campaign from Community Shares of Mid Ohio is that every gift makes an impact regardless of the size. When we take all the gifts, big and small, and pull them together, they create huge impact in your local community. Below are just a few ways that your small gift can make a big change in your local community.
• $1 per week donation to NNEMAP Food Pantry, we can purchase over 750 pounds of food from Mid-Ohio Food Bank that will serve over 1,000 meals in a year!
• $1 a week helps OEFFA grow our local and organic food system by paying for 12 Good Earth Guides, OEFFA’s local foods directory which promotes local farms and helps consumers connect with farmers in their area.
• $1 per week buys a week’s worth of meals for a Project Openhand client

• $2 a week allows Free Geek to cover the cost to recycle 12 CRT monitors that are not functioning which keeps them out of the Franklin Co. land fill.
• $2.50 a week to COSI keeps the little kidspace® clinic stocked with Band-Aids and Ace Bandages for one month.
• $2.50 a week helps Earthtouch maintain over 230 acres of mature forest sequestering carbon, 120 acres of early successional meadow providing critical bird and small mammal habitat, and 35 acres of wetland providing improved water quality and open aquatic habitat.
• $2.50 a week allows Compassionate Communication of Central Ohio to fund a scholarship for a student to get trained in conflict mediation.
• $3.50 a week helps Stop the Suffering board a rescued “death row” dog for a month
• $5 a week donation to VOICEcorps reading service will fund six hours of broadcast information like: Grocery/retail ads, daily papers, health and wellness news…information that will connect people with blindness and other disabilities to their family, friends and community and help them to live more fully and independently.
• $5 a week helps Friends of the Scioto River buy up to 26 native shrubs or trees for habitat restoration
• $5 a week lets LifeCare Alliance provide 25 pantry bags containing a comprehensive combination of nutritional food, supplements, personal hygiene products and household cleaning products to low-income individuals and families living with active cancer and/or HIV/AIDS

• $7.50 a week will help Deaf Services Center to send a deaf and hard of hearing child to a summer camp.
• $20 a week allows the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio to build a new dresser for 50 families
• $38.50 per week lets American Council of the Blind of Ohio fund a $2,000 scholarship to a blind or visually impaired college student or a student who is studying to be a teacher of blind children, through the endowments we created at the Ohio State University and the University of Toledo
