Dear Friends & Supporters,

Teresa A. Trost

As the new executive director of Community Shares of Mid Ohio, I’m excited to be joining a great organization that does so much good in the community through the work of our 66 member charities.

I’ve taken over duties from our previous executive director, Melissa Magers, who served the organization for 18 years providing leadership, passion, and guidance. It is reassuring to begin a new chapter at an organization like Community Shares of Mid Ohio knowing that it had strong stewardship to help build its foundation.

As the board seeks to set the organization on a path of continued advocacy, along with organizational and financial growth, I pledge to bring my skills and experience to work with them. Collaboration is the key to success, and I couldn't be happier to be leading this outreach effort at this time.

Prior to accepting this new role, I served over 16 years with the United Methodist Association, a non-profit membership association supporting nearly 400 health and human service organizations and professionals nationwide that provide quality care in a faith-based setting. I bring extensive non-profit operational management experience, fiscal stability, quality management, program planning, and human resource compliance and training.

I have had the opportunity to discover more about our community thru being actively involved with networking groups in the Columbus area by serving on the board of directors of Forty Plus of Central Ohio and the Professional Career Development Network of Scioto Ridge Job Networking Group.

As I become further acquainted with the community, I’m looking forward to seeing the work we can accomplish together. I invite you to connect with me to support and further our city as it enters a new era of prosperity and help celebrate 200 years of a rich history in Columbus.

Teresa A. Trost
